Stepford Wives

Last night Benjamin and I watched the new version of The Stepford Wives. It was interesting to see how they had modernized it and there are certainly some amusing moments, but there are gaping plot holes and it does nothing to best the book. I think they did change the ending, but it has been so long since I read it that I can't remember! I haven't watched the first film version from the 70's so I have no idea how it compares to that, but Ira Levin (the book's author) is a master and his books are wonderful. He's written many famous stories that were turned into movies including Rosemary's baby, The Boys from Brazil and Sliver. This has inspired me to get some Ira Levin books from the library to re-read them. :)
