The dahlias I planted are coming up! Now I just have to convince the snails that dahlias are not yummy. I don't want to kill them and I don't want to use chemicals that animals might ingest (the dahlias are next to the sidewalk). But I heard about strips of copper you can use that the snails don't like because snail slime + copper = snail zap!
