We're trying to pick out carpet. This is the remnant that Benjamin and I could both agree on (we didn't like any of the stock standards). Once I got the sample home I had second thoughts - I'm afraid it looks too casual and it makes the basement seem cheaper and more like a "rompus room" than the current, fairly sophisticated, style of the finishings. However, after a few days it grew on me again and I don't think I'm going to find anything much better that is also practical in terms of not showing dirt and taking wear well.
