Great customer service: Eagle Creek

Since I periodically bitch about companies with terrible service, I should also tell you about the ones with great service. Eagle Creek gets a gold star. I have one of ther convertible bags (backpack/shoulder bag) that I bought about 6 years ago and have used daily ever since. The material and general condition is still very good. However, one of the metal clips for the backpack strap wore down and wouldn't hold anymore. Sadly this caused my bag to plummet to the pavement with a Tablet PC inside, but to my relief the tablet survived. Anyway, I called Eagle Creek recently and asked about it. They immediately offered to repair it and look it over to fix any other things that might be worn. I didn't want to send it in since I use it all the time so they willingly mailed me two new straps to replace both the backpack straps and clips. They also mailed me replacements for the other clips on the bag in case I ever have trouble with them. It was all free. I got them in the mail after a couple of weeks and put them on (pretty easy). Now my bag is back to its happy backpack incarnation. Yea Eagle Creek!
